I'm a little over half-way through the first one and am enjoying it so far. It reminds me of XXXholic: Midsummer's Night Dream, espcially the dream worlds with the crazy mansions full of random stuff and characters. Can't wait to read more!

Hey, so I just finished the first copy of Bizenghast and loved it! Dinah, eh? Even the name reminds me of Alice in Wonderland, as does the whole book. Edaniel is sort of like the Cheshire cat with that grin...lol, Edaniel, that was an intersting twist. I love him though.

"But the bottom line is that communism is bad for your eyes...I mean television. I get those confused."

Heh, but one of the most awkward and classic parts:

"Hey, get this off me! I'm not a witch!"
"y'are, I say! Suckled on the teat of the evil one!"
Vincent stands with noose around neck, glares at the crowd, then,
"That's just gross..."
Later:
"Last time I ever buy fudge from the Amish!"

Lol, absolutely awkward yet...didn't see it coming, so good job, author...

Edaniel LOVE!!!!

Argh! It was so sad! Vincent dies! Then you keep reading--and he's still dead! And then he's STILL DEAD! But if only we get to see him once more...must have more to read...
